Yellow Silks Requirements

Yellow silk denotes a tavern slave, she usually is collared to a tavern, and is for use and to serve by Patrons of the tavern. This would be for taverns of southern cities on Gor. To make this really confusing in the north of Gor, the kajira, i.e., lodge slaves (bondmaids) serve naked. It also depends on geological location. Some use yellow to denote a trained slave but one not trained for pleasure use as yet.

Postions and Commands

Bara-(command; lit. 'belly'): slave position: In this position the slave falls to her stomach face down to the floor and turned to the left, crosses her wrists behind her back and similarly crosses her ankles her legs straight in preparation for binding.

Belly-Kajira lies face down with her forehead resting flat on the floor and arms at her sides. she crawls to the Master on her belly.

Blanket -(position): when a blanket or cloak or covering of any sort is thrown over a slave girl she may not speak or rise; she must remain silent until the blanket is lifted by a free person

Bracelets -(command): girl kneels, hip turned to the left, back straight, head turned to the left, wrists crossed behind back weak over strong, ready for binding.

Capture position-The girl lies on her back with her knees raised, heels on the floor in a standard, supine capture position

Coffle- The command is often given with multiple girls, who kneel, in order of first slave to last, closely, one behind the other the left wrist is raised to be placed within the wrist rings.

Crawl -(position): girl goes to tiles on belly, lowering arms so that hands are flat on the tiles to the elbow, then crawls to her Owner.

Display -(command): girl stands, feet shoulder width apart, hands laced behind neck, elbows back, back straight, head and eyes are lowered.

Heel-The slave goes to Master and kneels in nadu behind and to his left... awaits further orders note: if Master is right handed go to his left , if left handed go to his right.

Kolar -(command): girl kneels, rask resting on heels, arms extended upward to her Owner, wrists crossed, head lowered.

Leasha - (command): girl kneels, thighs parted, back arched, head high and turned slightly to the left, hands crossed behind back weak over strong.

Nadu -(position): the pleasure slave and usually the first slave position taught to a new girl. A kneeling slave is directed to straighten her back and sit on her heels, lifting her head, and placing her hands, palms down, on her thighs. There are a couple of examples which suggest a variation of uplifted palms, though this appears to be an exception to the basic position.

Kneel to the Whip-Kajira kneels, head to the floor, arms crossed beneath her, back exposed in preparation to be beaten. In this position the slave first assumes the Nadu position, though with her arms crossed in front of her. She then leans forward and places her head to the floor, first sweeping her hair forward over her shoulders in order that her back might be utterly exposed to the whip

Obeisance -(position): a position of extreme deference which is described as a slave deeply bowing her head from the basic pleasure slave position, often flattening her palms against the floor and leaning forward to lick and kiss the boots of a Free person.

Prostrate-(noun): the slave kneels, bows her head, leans forward and touches her forehead to the floor, stretches her arms out before her with palms face down and fingers spread.

She-sleen-(Sometimes known as the "discipline of the she-quadruped") This is either a position assumed on all fours for being used from behind or a discipline under which a kajira is put where she must act like a she-sleen, vicious and nasty until tamed by the stronger Man. When the phrase "she-sleen" is used as a command, the slave mimics the position of the animal she is thought to be and assumes the modality of the she-quadruped, unable to communicate except in whimpers. Also known as "assuming the modality of the she-quadruped." In this position, the slave falls to her hands and knees, her head down on the floor, her hindquarters up-thrust for viewing and/or her Master's pleasure. "Serving in the modality of the she-quadruped" is an instruction whereby the slave performs her regular duties upon hands and knees, without the benefit of the use of her hands. In this mode she may not rise to her feet and may use only her mouth and teeth to grasp and manipulate objects and follow whatever instructions were given to her in this mode until she was told she was no longer under the modality or discipline of the she-quadruped. The phrase tends to imply the woman is like the sleen,

"Slaver's Kiss" (Slaver's Caress) -This is somewhat of an action, since the slave is taken by surprise when done.
The slave falls to the floor upon all fours, and lowers her head to the ground, with her buttocks thrust upward and her thighs widely spread, exposing her hindquarters fully in preparation for the caress of the leather against her body.

Sula (Back) or Prone Position-Kajira lies on her back, her hands at her sides palms open and up. Her legs are spread widely apart, ready for whatever uses or disciplines a master wishes to place upon her.

Sula-Ki, or "Alternative Sula -This position is almost identical to the Sula position, except once the slave has assumed the Sula position she slowly lifts her hips up off the floor, as if beckoning him with her body, encouraging her sexual use by him.

Tower -(position): a position used frequently by domestic slaves with thighs closed and hands resting with wrists crossed on legs.

Walk-When this command is given, the slave turns in a graceful pirouette, her hair swinging. She then walks, gliding across the room, her feet hardly seeming to leave the floor, her hips swaying sensually, her body erect and proud. When she reaches her objective she halts and stands, her body erect, her shoulders back, her chest thrust forward, her belly in. She turns her hip out a bit, her hands at her sides, and points one foot. Her head is up and her eyes are lowered.

Serves

Ale-(noun): served in tankards or horns, it is one of the two favored drinks of the Torvaldslanders, the other being mead.

Black wyne -(noun): described as a very expensive drink, even in Thentis, where it is grown on the mountain slopes. It is the same as coffee, and the original beans were probably imported from earth. Served steaming hot with creams or sugars as desired (See *second slave) or as a thick, bitter brew sipped from tiny cups.

Chocolate
Warmed chocolate, sugared, is popular in some cities. The cocoa beans originally brought over from the Voyages of Acquisition are now grown in the jungles of Gor themselves. (Kajira of Gor; page 61 )

Ka-la-na wine-(noun): a ruby red wine, fermented from the fruit of the yellow-wood ka-la-na tree, variously described as rich and delicate as well as 'bright, dry, and powerful'. Like the wines of earth the quality of ka-la-na varies from that of a common table wine to premium brands such as the very expensive 'Slave Gardens of Anesidemus' and 'Boleto's Nectar', a medium-grade wine. Ar is particularly noted for it's production of fine ka-la-na. Ka-la-na wine is reported to have an aphrodisiac effect on females.

Mulled ka-la-na : Heated ka-la-na, with mulling spices. Usually garnished with a piece of ka-la-na fruit or tospit, served in a goblet. (angel has never seen this in the books, perhaps an IRC invention, although Trevians prefer ka-la-na served warm
"Captive of Gor" p. 331)

Paga -(noun): paga, the fermented drink made from Sa-Tarna grain seems to have no traditions surrounding it's service, as is demonstrated by the myriad variety of serving and drinking vessels deemed acceptable by the Gorean imbiber. The following annotations list these examples of drinking vessels: cups, brass cups, glasses, bowls, goblets, metal goblets, a silver goblet studded with rubies, a golden goblet, and a kantharos.

Paga, sa-tarna
-(noun): a strong fermented drink brewed from sa-tarna (pagar-sa-tarna or Pleasure of the Life- Daughter) grain, the favored drink of Gorean men. A cup in a paga tavern would cost a tarsk bit. One of the large serving bottles may be purchased for a silver tarsk. Paga is served warmed to fiery hot. There seem to be no traditions surrounding it's service as demonstrated by the variety of vessels from which it is, stored, served and drunk

paga, serving vessels
-(noun): paga, the fermented drink made from Sa-Tarna grain, seems to have no traditions surrounding it's service, as is demonstrated by the myriad variety of serving and drinking vessels deemed acceptable by the Gorean imbiber. The following annotations list these examples of serving vessels: wineskins or botas made from verrskin leather, bottles so large they must be supported by a shoulder sling, bronze vessels with a similar strap, a hydria or water vessel, as well as bottles, sealed with the insignia of the brewer. Paga is served from kettles, jugs and vats when not sealed in a large or standard sized bottle.

Slave Wine : brewed from bitter herbs, acts as a contraceptive drunk once per month although a girl would not serve this wine a slave would be given this by her Master, later books show a type only needed to be drunk once and then needing "second wine" to conteract the effects.

Dances

Belt Dance -"The belt dance is a dance developed and made famous by Port Kar dancing girls." "The belt dance is performed with a Warrior. She now writhed on the furs at his feet, moving as though being struck with a whip. A white silken cord had been knotted about her waist; in this cord was thrust a narrow rectangle of white silk, perhaps about two feet long."  "The dance receives its name from the fact that the girl's head is not suppose to rise above the Warrior's belt, but only purists concern themselves with such niceties; wherever the dance is performed, however, it is imperative that the girl never rise to her feet."

Chain Dance -"A girl is chained to a stake by a warrior with the chain interwoven from the ko-lar of her neck through  the wrists and down to her ankle cuffs by ten feet of play between the slave and the driven stake.
The slave dances to show her submission and joy of being a slave. The chain wraps around her and she writhes and fights at first, and fights wildly, but she eventually she submits because of her desire  and the fire within her belly. In the end, she shows her joy at feeling the confinement of the  chain around her slaveheart."

Placatory Dance -"There are many forms of placatory dances which are performed by female slaves. Some of these tend to have rather fixed forms, sanctioned by custom and tradition, such as the stately 'Contrition Dance' of Turia. Some sort of placatory dance is usually taught to the girl in slave training."  "Most placatory dances, however, are not fixed-form dances, but are 'free' dances, in which the  slave, exquisitely alert to the nuances of the situation, the particular master, the nature of his  displeasure, the gravity of her offense, and such, improvises, to reassure him of the authenticity  of her contrition and the genuineness of her desire to do better."

Pole Dance -The slave will attempt to arouse and entice the pole or "Master" with erotic movements that involve her touching and caressing "Him" (the pole), beckoning her use by "Him". This dance can be done either by securing her to the pole or she may remain free from the pole, swirling around in frantic and heated movements

Submission - : a dance that begins with a rence girl's daily chore life, moving into her need of a man, only single women may do this dance, the dance ends with the girls pairing off with the single men, very wanton dance.

Tether Dance - jerked the tether at her throat.' This is a tether,' I said. 'It is to be well incorporated in your dance. You are a tethered slave. Do not forget it. You may fight the tether, you may love it. It may confine your body, you may use it to caress your body, an invitation to your master, a surrogate  symbol of his domination of you. You need not dance always on your feet. A woman can dance beautifully on her knees, moving as little as a hand, or on her back, or belly or side. In all things do not forget you are a slave.'"
