VP CLIENTS & SERVERS
Also known as VPlaces or VP, Virtual Places Chat was originally was a Real-Time Avatar chat client designed by Ubique. After an initial download and install, users would open the chat client which, using Internet Explorer technology, was actually a form of web browser.
This browser was designed not only to "surf" the web, but also to connect to a chat server allowing users to "text-talk" with each others. Every page on the web became its own chat-room and the presence of each user would be graphically represented in the room in the form of a small picture called an "Avatar".
Additional functions allowed chatters to surf the web together in "tours" and, with additional downloads, allow them to play Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, Battleship & Yahtzee with each other.
Over the years VP has gone through alot of changes and servers but the basic functionality that "VPers" have come to know and love continues.

Halsoft's webserver does not allow information pertaining to Illegal chat sites (sites that have pirated their software) so we apologize for not having the freedom to display ALL the chat links we know of on this page!

Still in it's public beta-testing phase, EchoChat is a FREE avatar chat community! PLEASE NOTE.... Since this chat community is still in the developement stage it may not yet have all functions that more established VP-Like chat programs have.

Use an original VP client or the newest Halsoft version to connect to the family community vpchat.com or the adult community at vpadult.com.All VP functions (Avs, games, tours, gestures, etc.) are available.
Additional upgrades are found in the newest Halsoft version.
This community is also the hotspot for VPGames & Tourneys since Excite's new Superchat does not support the games and the other free servers are often not available.
Registration is required, affordable and includes access to both servers (screennames of kids under age 18 are blocked from the adult server). Its Safe, Secure & Reliable and can boast a more Hassle-Free environment than the Free Servers!
Use the VooDoo chat client to connect to their community. All functions (Avs, games, tours, gestures, etc.) are available including animated AVs.VooDoo is a FREE server but not always available.
